I’ve wanted to Bungee Jump for as long as I can remember, but I could never find the courage to do it.
Well, two years ago, I faced my fears and made my way to the beautiful mountains of Whistler, British Columbia.
Once I got to the bridge though, I couldn’t bring myself to do the jump – I tried over and over. But my anxiety took over – I started breathing heavily, started to panic, and every kind of thought went through my head, “What if the line breaks? What if I die? Who will look after my children?”. I was absolutely terrified – I just couldn’t jump off that bridge!!!
So, I figured, why not at least do the jump with my husband? I asked him to do another jump (since he did take the leap first!) – with me attached to him! And just like that – we did the leap together!! Okay well, he had FULL control of the jump, but still, I got the chance to feel the adrenaline rush! And, I finally got to say I DID IT! I felt GREAT!!!
This is the thing – we are ALL faced with fears in life. We have to get out of our comfort zone and keep moving forward.
Try something new, something different.
Try something that you can experience, and cherish for the rest of your life, and share it with the people you love.
As we know, life is just too short. Take a “leap”, overcome your fears, and enjoy life as much as you can!!
